緻密で精巧なつくりを表現
伝統的な日本の紙細工の一種、折り紙。その中で特に通名なモチーフである鶴を表現した折り鶴をイメージし、シルバーで制作しました。正方形の紙を緻密に幾度となく折り曲げ完成した鶴の特徴を透かし技法で表現。羽の先端や尾まで丁寧に切り抜きました。
折り鶴を折る過程には、祈りや願い事を込めるという文化的な意味もあり、特に折り鶴は、平和への願いや病気平癒の祈りが込められます。そんな想いを作品製作時にこめて作り上げてます。
We have created a silver piece inspired by the traditional Japanese paper craft of origami, particularly focusing on the iconic motif of the crane. Meticulously folded and shaped from a square sheet of paper, the crane’s intricate details are captured using filigree techniques. Each feather tip and tail is carefully cut out to enhance its authenticity.
The process of folding origami cranes often carries cultural significance, with prayers and wishes imbued into each fold. Especially associated with prayers for peace and healing, these sentiments were deeply considered during the creation of this piece.
幸福や長寿を象徴する動物
鶴は、日本文化において長寿や幸福を象徴する重要な動物であり、その姿や特性から多くの意味を持っています。鶴は長寿を生きる鳥として知られ百歳以上生きるとされています。姿勢や優雅な飛び方から、不老長寿のシンボルとして古くから尊ばれてきました。また、鶴はペアで生涯を共にすることが多く、夫婦円満や幸福な家庭生活を象徴する動物としても重要視されています。
結婚式や出産祝いなどのお祝いの席では、鶴の図柄が使われることがあり、結婚式では、鶴は夫婦円満や幸福を象徴し、その図柄が招待状や装飾品に用いられることで、新しい家庭の幸せを願う気持ちが表現されます。また、出産祝いでは、子供の成長や健康を願って鶴の形をした飾りやグッズが贈られることもあります。

In weddings, cranes symbolize marital harmony and happiness, with their image adorning invitations and decorations, expressing wishes for the newlyweds’ happiness. Similarly, in celebrations of childbirth, gifts featuring crane motifs are often given, symbolizing wishes for the child’s growth and well-being.
In Hiroshima, the “ORITSURU TOWER” featuring the motif of folded cranes, stands as a symbol of “recovery and the future.” With the aim of spreading bright dreams and hope to the world, the tower houses various monuments symbolizing folded cranes, representing the aspiration for a better future.
